The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) | Andy Meets Trish's Kids

After a rough start, Andy (Steve Carell) and Trish (Catherine Keener) make a deal: 20 dates before anything physical happens. Works out great when you're hiding what Andy's hiding. His friends can't agree on whether he should just tell her the truth, but Andy takes Trish to dinner anyway and they actually click. There's a moment later where he does a magic trick for her daughter that's just genuinely sweet. Catherine Keener grounds the whole thing. This is the stretch of the movie where you realize it's not just gross-out jokes - there's an actual love story going on.
